Harley Davidson built an electric motorcycle. Yes, really! And SSS World Corp designer Justin O’Shea is here to tell you that an electric American hog isn’t a sign of emasculation, merci beacoup. Today at the Ritz Paris, the diesel-fueled designer actually rode the bike—dubbed the LiveWire—through the garden to take his bow after a thoroughly testosterone-heavy show that featured mafioso tracksuits, aggressively-sharp blazers, a Motorhead collaboration, and lots of muscles. (One of the reasons we love O’Shea? This wasn’t even the first time he took his bow atop an iron steed.) O’Shea’s Spring-Summer 2020 show included someone else comfortable on two wheels: Nigel Sylvester, the Queens-born BMX phenom. If “BMX” conjures images of baggy cargo shorts and Monster logos on flat-brims, you clearly haven’t clocked Sylvester. For one, you won’t find him at the X Games, because he doesn’t compete. Sylvester’s thing is to freestyle around cities, cruising around and finding spots you wouldn’t think of as bikeable.
